international response to the plight of Danzig Jews

J.O.I.N.T and its European branch did what they could to rescue the twelve thousand Danzig Jews,but modest resources,resentment and indifference on the part of neighbouring European populations prevented the response that was necessary to save Danzig's Jewish population.
