Michael Share [originally Miroslav Sher] was born on 14th March 1916 in Dravce in Slovakia. He was sent by the Gestapo to Poland in 1939 but escaped to Brno in Slovakia from where he caught an illegal boat to Haifa in Palestine in 1941. He arrived in Australia in 1951.
