The Weintraubs Syncopators were international muscial celebrities of the 1930s. This band of mainly Jewish musicians arrived in Sydney, Australia in1937. They gained employment at the high end of Sydney night clubs but when the war came were forced to come to terms with a change in their status, from celebrities to enemy aliens.
