Descripción

This book studies the role of Jews and more specifically the 'Judenrat' in Holocaust Vienna. It was in Vienna that Eichmann developed and tested his model for a 'Jewish policy' in handling the Jewish question. The Jewish Viennese community were the prototypes for all subsequent Jewish councils. This study helps one gain an insight into the way the Nazi regime incorporated the Jewish community into its machinery of destruction.
