Description
The Lili Jacobs album refers to 197 photos documenting seven different locations in both Auschwitz I and Birkenau. The album was discovered in the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp by Lily Jacob, a Hungarian Jewish survivor, on the day of her liberation. The photographs capture movement in the ramp area as the selection process unfolded, the Nazi organization of this space, as well as the adaptation of Nazi routines when confronted with a flow of humans to be stripped and murdered
