BeschreibungWhite drawstring bag with Red Cross Society Bald Hills Branch Queensland Division label and a red cross sewn on it. This bag was given to Les Pahoff on his return to Australia. Les was serving in New Guinea and was evacuated because of anxiety problems. He was taken aboard the ship on a stretcher but even though he could walk around the ship he had to be taken off on a stretcher as those were the rules. As he was taken off in Australia a lady from the Red Cross dropped this bag on his stomach. It was filled with toiletries and some comforts.
