BeschreibungBlack and white portrait photographgraph of Ernst Grawitz, SS doctor and German Red Cross Director. Grawitz advised Himmler on the use of gas chambers in concentration camps and conducted brutal medical experiments on concentration camp prisoners. Due to his SS rank, he was administratively responsible for all medical experiments performed in the camps. He killed himself and his family at the end of the war. This photograph was taken by Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler's personal photographrapher, and is a copy from Hoffmann's archive.
