BeschreibungA small, embossed, cut out card showing a Jewish family, mother, father and daughter, performing Kapparot on the eve of Yom Kippur. The man holds a live chicken, to which sins will be symbolically transferred during the ceremony. Then, the chicken is slaughtered and given to the poor. Such novelty cards were popular in the early 20th century.
