BeschreibungIdentity and protection document, dated June 1945 and issued by the Mayor of Rentzschmule, Vogtland, to Ruth Grynberg (married name Ruth Galler). The document indicates that Ruth, born 28 February 1925 in Lodz, was liberated from Flossenburg concentration camp (Labour-station Mehltheuer, Vogtland, Plauen) on 16 April 1945 by American troops. All officials and offices are ordered to protect and to help her. It is signed and stamped and is the German version of M2008/031:002, which is in English. These documents were issued to Ruth upon liberation. Prior to Flossenburg, Ruth had been in Litzmannstadt Ghetto (Lodz) and Birkenau.
