BeschreibungBlack and white lino-cut print of two posts of a barbed wire fence. The artist, Noel Counihan, a prominent Australian painter, visited Poland in 1949, where he saw the Stutthof and Auschwitz concentration camps. The experience prompted him to create a folio of lino-cuts titled "War or Peace" which included "The Factory of Death" (M1992/003:001) and "They Think Freedom can be Jailed" (M1992/003:002).
