Eolo Paul Bottaro is a Sicilian-Australian artist. In 'Yosl', Bottaro pays homage to artist Yosl Bergner (1920-2017), a Jewish refugee, who is well known for his interrogation of Indigenous Australian rights and oppression from the 1940s onwards. The work features Bergner standing at a triptych which includes 'Aborigines' (1946).
