Cleaner, carer and occasional dance partner? Writing women back into the liberation of Bergen-Belsen

Seeks to redress an imbalance which exists in the common perception of the liberation of Belsen i.e. the role of women. Examines the way in which their role was perceived by their male collegues and also attempts to explain why they are so overtly missing from the historiography on the subject
