Beschreibung
The blood libel legend originated among Christians, but it has spread to the Arab world, where there is a tradition of anti-semitism. From the beginning of the 1870s the number of ritual murder accusations increased in both European and Asian Turkey. Although it is difficult to connect the ritual murder accusations with other such occurrences in the Ottoman Empire, it is reasonable to assume that they were caused by similar circumstances. Fifteen documents regarding ritual murder accusations are printed here.
