Holocaust as history

This overview of the Holocaust presents certain themes that reappear in the papers included in this volume. They are the uniqueness of the Holocaust, the special features of the Nazi mentality, the technology and death machinery of the camps and the widespread moral indifference in Europe and America that was shown toward the destruction of the Jews.
