One reads : ‘Taken at Anzac Buffet last time on (last two words indecipherable)’, the other: ‘Babe Sussman 1st World War’. Rachel Marks was allegedly dating Maurice Sussman, a trooper with the 6th Light Horse, during the First World War (see item M2007/065:002). They married in 1921.
