BeskrivelseTrifold souvenir invitation for Mr Cecil M Goldstein to attend all functions and competitions throughout the Centenary Year Interstate Sports Carnival, which was held in Melbourne from 26 December 1934 - 5 January 1935. The invitation came from the President, Executive and Committee of the Associated Judean Athletic Clubs (The AJAX), who hosted this event. This Jewish Sports Carnival saw the men's and women's Maccabean Sports Association (NSW) teams vs the AJAX (VIC) teams and the West Australian Zionist Athletic Club teams in cricket, gymnastics, tennis, swimming, athletics and basketball. There were also debates, dances, receptions, picnics and garden parties. At the time of this sports carnival, Cecil M Goldstein was the President of the Maccabean Sports Association. The invitation is on cream-coloured paper with navy print and a decoratively cut edge.
