The book is housed in the handmade, calico envelope in which it was mailed from Australian Imperial Forces soldier Chester Adams, who served in Israel from 1939-1943, to his son, Master Rod. Adams, 2 Flat, 223 Birrell St., Bondi, NSW. The envelope has Australian Stamps, censors stamp and signature, and the sender's details on the reverse.
