case of Moses Schorr: rabbi, scholar, and social activist

Moses Schorr was born in Galicia. He received his education at the Jewish Theological Institute and was ordained in 1900. He was a member of the Rabbinical Council of Warsaw and chair of several Jewish social, cultural and charitable organizations. By virtue of his high standing in Jewish society, he was appointed to the Polish Senate and remained in this position until 1938.
