States that there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive studies on the role of German big business in the Holocaust. Among the reasons for this situation, the problem of source is paramount. At the end of World War II relatively few such records came to light, partly because of wartime destruction, and partly because the Allies treated such matters as secondary issues.
