This is an excerpt from the novel Operation Shylock, the "real" Philip Roth, in London, poses as a reporter who does a phone interview with the "imposter" Philip Roth in Jerusalem, where the imposter has been attempting to spread his doctrine of "Diasporism" using the real Roth's name and fame.
