This book explores the social, medical and historical aspects of the lives of Hungarian Jewish between the end of WWI and the start of WWII. It also discusses how it was possible for these doctors to treat patients when they were themselves inmates and why there was an unusually high percentage of Jewish youths choosing the medical profession in Hungary.
