An inscription reads, "Presented by Mr & Mrs Ross in Memory of their Daughter". There are also words in Hebrew. This Sefer Torah cover was donated to the Witbank Synagogue (Witbank, South Africa) in memory of the Ross' daughter who died, age 12, in the polio epidemic of c. 1945.
