Preserving Jewish memory, bringing Jewish stories to life: combining new technologies, family pictures, and the old-fashioned art of storytelling

Centropa was born in Arad, Romania in the summer of 1999. The objective was to digitize photos, keyword them and match them to the life stories of survivors. Every interview was audiotaped and transcribed in the original language and was also translated into English.
