Vapniarka: the archive of the International Tracing Service and the Holocaust in the East

The author shows that the holdings of the International Tracing Service offer substantial resources for students of Eastern Europe. Discusses a case study of a camp that the Romanian occupation maintained at Vapniarka in Transnistria. Draws up other archival sources demonstrating how ITS holdings complement other research resources adding to our understanding of the Holocaust in the East
