Reflections on bystanders: a pedagogic paradox

The author reflects on her teaching about the bystander to Christian students in Germany. Her goals in doing so include transforming her students in some way to help them become more sensitive, better people moved to act when confronted by cruelty, suffering and wrongdoing.
