Historical understanding and counterrationality: the Judenrat as epistemological vantage

Diner draws his concept from the form of thought of the Jewish Councils when confronted with Nazi demands and policies. This form of thought, induced by Nazi behavior was unable to reconstruct rationally the 'logic ' of this behavior.
