Holocaust as an educational dilemma: to demonize or to humanize.

Until the 1960s the Holocaust was barely discussed in Israeli educational literature. In 1979 the Israeli Ministry of Education determined that the Holocaust would be taught as a compulsory subject in the higher grades of secondary schools in Israel.
