Wiesel's post-Auschwitz Shema Yisrael

The author reflects on Wiesel's interpretation of the Shema Israel after the Holocaust compared to before the Holocaust, and also compares these with Primo Levi's interpretation of the prayer. Berger concludes that Wiesel's post-Holocaust perspective of the prayer is that it requires more input and listening from God.
