الوصف
Investigates Islamic redemptive antisemitism and the murder of Theo van Gogh. Dutch journalist and filmmaker Theo van Gogh was assassinated in 2004 by Mohammed Bouyeri, a member of a jihadist group, for making a film about violence against women in Islam. Prior to the murder, Bouyeri penned the Open Letter to Hirshi Ali, amongst a number of other texts demonstrating Muslim antisemitism and his belief in Jewish conspiracy. Bouyeris thinking was connected to a broadly felt sense of dissatisfaction among young Muslims around the turn of the century, and to notions regarding the assumed central role of Jews in Dutch and global society.
