Hungarian intentionalism: new directions in the historiography of the Hungarian Holocaust

This chapter provides a scholarly overview of the newest trends in the study of the Holocaust in Hungary. Examines the debate as to whether the fate of the Hungarian Jews was the inevitable result of the German occupation of Hungary or whether Hungarian anti-semitism serves as an explanation.
