الوصف

Jan Tomasz Gross's book 'Neighbors' published in Poland in May 2000, which was based on survivors' accounts and the documentation of the post-war trials, shocked many readers in Poland. It described the brutal massacre of the Jewish community in the small town of Jedwabne perpetrated by the Polish inhabitants intimately familiar with their Jewish victims. Polish historians have continued to discuss issues such as antisemitism, Polish-Jewish relations during and after the war, and in particular Poles profiting from the murder of the Jews
