Imre Kertesz's Fatelessness and the myth about Auschwitz in Hungary

The author addresses thethe issue of why Kertesz's work particularly "Sorstalansag" did not fit into any of the categories defined for Holocaust portrayals in Hungary and his work was found unsuitable in the context of the Holocaust representation adopted by the communist regime.
