Can we move beyond hate? Some reflections on Anne Frank

In this essay the author references the diary of Anne Frank, the song of Horst Wessel, whose death in Berlin in 1930 was a catalyst to sectarian violence, and the work of Sigmund Freud all of which addressed the question of whether it is possible to move beyond hate as an emotion.
