الوصف

Bulgaria, a German ally, was the only European country to avoid full participation in the "final solution." Bulgarian protection, however, extended only to native Jews. Greek and Yugoslavian Jews in areas occupied by Bulgarian troops were turned over to the Germans. Chary attempts to explain this inconsistency. The survival of Bulgarian Jews, according to the author, was due to complex political and social internal struggles, and not because of Bulgarian humanity.
