DescriptionIn 1947 Benjamin Pszenny and his family Anglicised their names to ‘Penny’, as the family is now known. This is an official document in which Mr Pszenny renounces the use of his Polish name in favour of Penny. He also acts on behalf of his sons Ronald and Norman Gary, minors at the time. He also Anglicises their first names: Benjamin Dawid became Benjamin David, Roman to Ronald. It is notable that Norman Gary, who was born in Australia, was given an already Anglicised name and did not have it changed.
The document is signed ‘Benjamin David Penny’ in the presence of C. R. Symonds, solicitor on the 5th of November 1947, and was received into the office of the Registrar on the 6th of November 1947. It is signed by the Deputy Registrar General.
