DescriptionSmall autograph book containing a collection of autographs, messages and drawings by the Polish girls in Yola (Yolander) Rawdin's class in Piastow, Poland, 1945/1946. The front cover features a colour painting of a glass vase with white roses.
Yola Rawdin was born in 1932. During the war she and her mother escaped from the Warsaw Ghetto and lived in a Warsaw suburb called Piastów. They survived living on false papers. Her false name was Janina Szymanska. At the end of 1949, after spending four years in DP camps, Yola and her mother immigrated to Australia.
There are signatures by Tereska and Tosia Jablonska who were with Yola in Aschau DP camp.
