DescriptionEight pieces of shrapnel from Fromelles, dated 19 July 1916, received from the village church of Fromelles.
The items weres obtained in July 2010, in conjunction with the dedication of new Fromelles Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery, where 250 Soldiers from WW1 were re-buried (after being discovered in mass burial pits and DNA tested), including 96 identified Diggers, amongst them the Jewish Lt Berrol Mendelsohn.
