Titlemedical card
DescriptionThis is a printed Medical Record card issued for Anna Ullmann in Theresienstadt by the Council of Elders, Medical Department. There is only a single record written in pencil, dated 20 November (no year indication) (1943?), recording the examination of Anna's heart complaints and results (diagnosis), as D21/XI.
The doctor's signature initial reads simply 'L' in the right hand column.
As with other Theresienstadt documents, various details are recorded, Anna's Year of Birth (1907) which would make her just over 40 yrs old, her lodgement was in Barracks 78. It seems that Anna was permitted a portion K for her allocation of daily bread ration. Her Transport Number is recorded as AT/661
The name Ullmann appears in Eva Gertler collection in two other occasions:
M2012/010:084 - A typed postcard (in German) to Mr Moci Kohn, L407, Theresienstadt, from Dr Fritz Ullmann, 44 Paquis Street, Geneva. Dated 27 August 1943.
M2012/010:135 A typed letter from Moci (Moric) Kohn in German from Theresienstadt, to Dr F. Ullmann, Genf, Switzerland, dated 31 May 1943.
When possible will need to ask the donor, Eva Gerltler if there was a relation between Anna and Fritz. Ullmann is not an unusual name. On the second thought - it is likely that there was a relation, otherwise there would be no reason for Moric Kohn to keep the card.
