DescriptionThis interview with Holocaust Survivor Eddie Jaku was recorded in September 1992 for the ‘Survivors Commentary’ to be incorporated into the soon to be opened Sydney Jewish Museum. Eddie’s testimony focuses on his Liberation experience and just before including his transfer to Germany and his escape at the end of the war and hiding in a forest. Eddie speaks emotionally about his feelings at the time of liberation and how he grapples with survival. The interview also includes Eddie talking about establishing a new life in Sydney and some reflections on religion.
