DescriptionThis is a black and white photograph of members of the public arriving on ‘Visiting Day’ during the Bradfield Jamboree. In the distance on the right hand side are the Scout Shop and a memorial site. An Australasian Scout Jamboree was held at Bradfield Park on an old race course previously known as Cook’s Flat between December 1938 and January 1939. The Jamboree attracted Scouts from all over the world. Following the Jamboree, the site became a training depot for the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II.
