DescriptionPocket diary belonging to the donor’s father, Stephen Horvath. The diary was kept by Stephen from 1944 onwards; it was taken with him to a Hungarian labour camp and Mauthausen concentration camp. According to his daughter Kathy, it was important for him to keep the diary with him because recording a few thoughts helped him keep his sanity. He asked that it never been translated as he does not want his children to know what he had to do to survive.
