DescriptionCertificate from the JNF certifying that trees were planted in Israel in memory of Dr Arthur Kaldor and his wife Magda, both of whom were murdered in the Holocaust. Ervin managed to escape to Christchurch, New Zealand, before the war.
Ervin Kaldor is the stepfather of the donor. They did not speak about that period and she only discovered the letters when her father died in 1974. He was involved in B’nai B’rith New Zealand and continued to be involved when he moved to Australia (President).
