DescriptionCommemorative plaque for memorial doors, straight upper edge and pointed lower edge. Inscribed: "Memorial Doors in memory of Marcus and Celia Horne pioneers of this congregation from their children Marie, Harry and Israel."
The plaques were originally installed in Bankstown Synagogue. Established in 1913, the synagogue was destroyed in a fire in March 1991 possibly by arson. The surviving plaque was placed with the AJHS and later donated to the Sydney Jewish Museum. The Synagogue was never rebuilt.
