The other is the Pacific Star which was awarded for service in the Pacific theatre. It is unclear which Phillips this belonged to but it is likely Norman Phillips.
Norman was born 2 January 1909 in Newcastle NSW and enlisted with the Australian Army 11 March 1942. He was discharged the 18 June 1946 from Oro Bay WKSP. During WWII, Oro Bay in Papua New Guinea was used as a staging area for the battle of Buna-Gona and future operations.
