CreatorThe Daily Telegraph
DescriptionNewspaper clipping from The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) Monday May 25, 1903. The clipping contains a report on a sermon given by Rabbi Landau, at the great synagogue in Sydney, denouncing Jewish massacres in Russia. Likening these massacres as “more terrible than anything in Egypt”, he was no doubt referring to the infamous ‘Kishinev Pogrom’ of April 7-9, 1903, where 49 Jews were murdered and 500 suffered serious injury.
