DescriptionGreen army beret issued to Greg Sher with commando insignia comprising of a dagger and boomerang, with the motto "Strike Swiftly". Commandos awarded the coveted green beret have specialist qualifications in roping and rappelling, parachuting and amphibious operations. Training is always high-risk; sometimes hair-raising, but often humorous.
Private Greg Sher, a member of the elite Special Forces Commandos, was known by his mates as “Super Jew.” He served in both East Timor and Afghanistan and was the first Australian Jewish soldier to die in combat since the end of World War II.
