DescriptionArmband with a light yellow star stitched onto a coarse white fabric. Printed on the fabric to the bottom right of the star is “Auschwitz”. On the left side of the star are the numbers “43839”.
The authenticity of the object is in question. It could be a fake. Images were emailed to the Archive and Collections department at Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and they had never seen an armband like it. There are a few names they give from their register which match the numbers.
