In the 1970s, Ida researched the music of the Holocaust. She found handwritten scores of music which had been composed in the camps, as well as music which had been written from memory.
The music of Theresienstadt, the spirit of its composers and musicians, was bought alive in a concert in Sydney in 1991.
Ida joined 2MBS FM. She became a senior programmer and writer, contributing greatly to the knowledge of Israeli, ghetto and Holocaust music.
