It is addressed to Frau (Mrs) Meta Hirschel, 818 Tongshan Rd, House 37/39, Shanghai, which was within the Jewish refugee settlement in the Hongkew district of Shanghai (known as the "Ghetto"). The recipient was a German refugee and mother of the donor. Identity of M.G. is unknown.
