DescriptionThis drawing by an unknown artist (no date or known place either) depicts a scene of rebellion or amidah - standing up against authority. Two Jewish men are seen overpowering armed German soldiers. A rifle lies on the ground. In all the drawings in this collection, the Star of David is shown on the right breast. The star is depicted with a sharpened pencil, using a neat clear line. Thus one can speculate that the drawings have been produced by the same person, repeating the inaccuracy. Historically, Jews wore the badge on the left side.
